I am honored to serve as the Group Leader for the Virginia Highlands QOV Quilters in Abingdon, VA for the past five years. Founded 10 years ago, we are located in the rural mountainous area of Southwest Virginia. We are a small group of members separated by up to three hours of travel time. In May 2023 I became a District Coordinator in Virginia for the purposes of managing NAMS.
I started sewing as a young child, making dolls clothes and then making my own garments. I discovered the joy of quilting 20 years ago and enjoy many quilting friends, local guilds and sewing groups.
