Greg supported the efforts of his wife Alice and the group that included her sisters then in 2016 they acquired a Longarm quilting machine and frame and shortly after added computerized controls. Through the process of setting up the longarm, Greg became highly proficient at quilting on the machine. After his retirement from the railroad in 2017 and moving to North Mississippi he became a member of their group and continues to quilt.
