I am very proud to represent QOV as their Central Illinois State Coordinator. My introduction to QOV came from my online longarm group talking about quilting Quilts of Valor. Coming from a family that has represented the Army, Navy and Marine Corps for 4 generations, I quickly volunteered to longarm quilts from across the country. Soon after, I formed a local group and later gladly accepted this position. We now have several groups, large and small, throughout Illinois as well as multiple longarmers.
I live quilting 24/7. Besides Quilts of Valor, I also own a quilt shop, teach, longarm for hire, lecture, design, appraise and have collected 1800 quilts. Our two daughters and granddaughter quilt and are also part of the QOV family. There are no words to describe the feeling that comes over you with each and every Quilt of Valor you make and award to that service member or veteran.
