Christine E. (Chris) Hamp retired in early 2023 as a chief officer in the fire service after more than 30 years of service in state and local government.
In 2021, Chris was elected Vice President of the National Grange and has served as an elected officer of the National Grange since 2011. Chris is a life-long, fourth-generation member of the Grange and in addition to her national office is the Secretary at Five Mile Prairie Grange #905 in Spokane.
Chris fell in love with the Quilts of Valor Foundation in 2016 when her father was presented with his Quilt of Valor for his service in Vietnam with the U.S. Army’s 4 th Infantry Division. Since 2017 Chris has used her positions in the Grange to build a nationwide relationship between these two service-oriented organizations.
Chris and her husband Duane live outside Spokane, Washington.
