My introduction to quilting was at our quarters on an Air Force Base in Japan. My father had built a quilt frame for my mother and several of the ladies on base. They would meet a couple times a week and hand sew quilts. Fast forward about six decades and quilting comes back into my life through my wife. She is an avid quilter and employs me to help sew quarter inch seams during piecing and maintaining her longarm. That is the sum total of my quilting expertise but I help with Quilts of Valor by piecing and quilting. While I am not a veteran I grew up in a military family and have the utmost respect for our veterans and their sacrifice. As a retired high school principal, I have some administrative skills that I felt I could apply in supporting the efforts of the Quilts of Valor quilters in Wyoming. I look forward to helping!
