I grew up in West Virginia, graduated from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner), then moved to Idaho. I’ve also lived in Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!!) and Aiken, SC. I studied geography and journalism in school – then used my journalism background to pursue a career in technical writing and editing for two Department of Energy nuclear research laboratories. In between all that – I raised four sons and sewed up a storm. I started quilting in August 2011 and the sky’s the limit now!!
I have travelled throughout the United States (except Alaska). I’ve seen much of the world in the last ten years. America is a wonderful country and the veterans who protect it are very special.
I’m looking forward to working with the quilters in Eastern Idaho to thank our veterans for their service and wrap them in Quilts of Valor.
