This year’s Take 5: Walk, Run, Block virtual event is set for Saturday, June 14, 2025. Take 5: Walk, Run, Block is your chance to take action by participating in a 5k race or by creating quilt blocks to contribute to Quilts of Valor! Registration is open and will close on June 1, 2025—don’t miss out!

From June 8 – 14, you can choose how you would like to participate in Take 5; from coordinating a 5k in your neighborhood, to walking five blocks, to organizing a Sew Day to make quilt blocks, the flexibility of this virtual event creates an opportunity for you to be involved in whatever way works best for you.
Every participant will receive a Take 5 packet, which includes a Take 5 Medal and exclusive items from our Take 5 sponsors.
Participate with your pet: You can participate in Walk, Run, Block, WOOF, by including your furry friends in the event.

- $45 participants + furry friends, select Walk/Run/Block/Woof
For Quilts of Valor Foundation members, you can even use this event as a way to raise funds for your group, by collecting pledges for number of miles, minutes, or quilt blocks.
HOW TO REGISTER YOUR QOV GROUP: Each group member can register as a race participant. You can also create a Team at registration, and your group members can join the team as they register. You can inform your members of the Team name so they can select it.
HOW TO CREATE A TEAM or JOIN A TEAM: Once you select Register, you will be able to create a team or join a team.
HOW TO FUNDRAISE FOR YOUR GROUP: On the Member Dashboard under Fundraising: QOVF Take 5, you can use following documents to solicit pledges and donations for your groups: Take 5 – Walk, Run, Block flyer, Take 5 Fundraiser Letter for Groups, Take 5 Group Pledge Form for Sign-ups and Take 5 Thank You Postcard.
Your registration fees directly support the Quilts of Valor Foundation’s mission to provide comforting and healing Quilts of Valor to service members and veterans affected by war.
