Role of Regional Coordinators

  1. Communication:

 

Check for QOVF Staff and RC Group e-mail communications at least weekly and respond promptly.

 

Keep a current list of quilt shops, guilds and bees in your region.

 

Keep a list of possible QOVF donor groups and individuals in your region.

 

As Coordinator of your region, visit or communicate by phone or e-mail with  groups, contacts and individuals in the region.

 

Submit a report with photos of regional activity to newsletter@QOVF.org  by the 25th of each month.  The editor will determine what is published and where.

 

2.    Participation

 

Set yearly goals for your region, discuss them with the Deputy Director, and post them in a document in the RCs Group Files section.

Develop and implement regional activities, promotions and events at least once yearly.

Join discussions on the Regional Coordinators Google group to help determine QOVF goals, activities, promotions and events.

Participate in National QOVF activities and promotions to the extent possible. 

  1. Representing QOVF:

Remember to state the mission when speaking to individuals and groups.

 

Know exactly what the quality standards and requirements for Quilts of Valor are.

 

Speak to recruit, educate, and encourage groups, longarm quilters and piecers in your region. 

 

Refer people to www.QOVF.org for information, news, and products in the shop.

 

Encourage your contacts to register as under Local Groups on the website.

 

Make your contact information available through business cards, flyers, and occasional newspaper articles.

 

When representing QOVF, refrain from political or religious discussions or endorsements.
